Cynosport Blog #4 – Wrap up
Thinking about this past marathon of the event called “Cynosport” – I have to say it was one of my favorite trips/compeitions to date – and for so many reasons. I really enjoyed visiting Nashville & even though we only got to experience a small part – I’m totally coming back. I want to see more! I also need to go back to the Grand Ol Opry. While there, I was offered the chance to sing on the stage & get a chance to stand on the historical wooden circle. It was during the tour & I wasn’t expecting the opportunity to come up – instead of seizing the moment – I totally panicked & refused to sing in front of everyone – what a WIMP!!!! I’m soooo mad at myself. I LOVE to sing & I can’t believe I chickened out. I have to go back & try again at some point 🙂 I’m still kicking myself.
I had some great times with my parents, Ken and the new addition to the family – my good friend Mark. We enjoyed the RV life & had some great dinners together. The weather was a little cold though! SOOOO getting my own RV in the near future though.
Of course – I’m still smiling about my experience running my 3 fabulous dogs. I am so proud of them & proud of myself for having a great weekend both with my mental state & with my handling. I have been training so much & it was so rewarding to put some of the new stuff I’m been working on in to my course running & see such great results. I’m so pleased with Slyce and the fact that she was still competitive even at 11.5 years old. Coming home with the Gold Medal in the Biathlon event was just icing on the cake. Funkee Monkee’s attitude was stellar & this was the fastest she’s been in a while. I will never forget the sound of the crowd screaming as we came down the home run stretch of the Steeplechase finals! What a rush! She smashed the time to beat by a full second! Then there is Slam…..this dog is going to have such bright future – I am so smitten with him. I’m feeling so much more confident about representing Canada at the IFCS Worlds now.
I will be uploading my runs & making some youtube video’s when I have the time. I’m right back to teaching the moment I get home. I’m exhausted, but as usual – I’m coming home pumped to train more!
Awesome Awesome time! Great Event – I encourage everyone to experience it at some point!
