2013 World Agility Open - Oviedo, Spain! May 17-19th.

Kayl will represent Team Canada & will fight to maintain her spot on the winners podium.  Last year (2012 Belgium) her Border Collie, Slyce won the SILVER medal in the Pentathlon event & Funkee Monkee, her All Canadian won the GOLD medal in the Biathlon event.

Kayl McCann lives near Toronto in Flamborough, Ontario, Canada.  She has been training dogs for more than 20 years.  She is a full time professional dog trainer at her family business McCann Professional Dog Trainers.  Kayl has earned 25 medals for Canada at World Championships, including 10 Gold, 7 Silver & 8 Bronze.

Kayl has a wealth of experience. She has trained more than 10 dogs to compete in Agility, Obedience & Flyball. Most of these dogs have become Regional, National or World Champions in Agility.  Since 2002 she has won numerous Ontario Regional & Canadian National Championships     with several different dogs.

She has earned a spot on Team Canada with 5 different dogs, 3 different breeds & at 3 different jumps heights. 

 

Kayl believes that having a well trained, obedient dog is fundamental to having a successful agility dog. She has taught obedience & family dog training classes for 12 years. Kayl trains her dogs in obedience classes all year round & attends agility classes as well as seminars on a regular basis.

She has trained with many International competitors such as Jenny Damm from Sweden, Jaakko Suoknuuti & Janita Leinonen from Finland as well as many top handlers from the United States. This allows her to stay up to date with the current trends of this constantly evolving sport.

 
 
 

Kayl currently competes with her Border Collie, Slyce &       her All Canadian, Funkee Monkee.

She is also training and will soon be competing with her young Border Collie, Grand Slam, son of Slyce.
